Haridwar is one of the most significant pilgrimage destinations in Uttarakhand state. The Haridwar town is so popular with the followers of Hindu religion. People from all over the world visit here to experience Hindu rites and rituals. The Haridwar Ganga Sabha is an ancient Sabha that was came into being in the centaury of 1816. The translation of the Ganga Sabha was done religiously for the good cause of the Cow, Ganges and for the social order too. Because in the very beginning the name of the Sabha was like Gau Varnashrama Hitaishini Ganga Dharma Sabha. But nowadays it is generally called by the people as Ganga Sabha.
After that for this Sabha the major point was the boxes on the bank of
the river. Whenever devotees took a bathe they used to drop the coins
and notes as a donation into the boxes. Very earlier the upcoming
society established their own organization. And after that they also set
up their own officers there. And they also helped a lot to the pilgrims
and priests to stop this practice. Then the new organization started
thinking for Ganga priests, cow and for the worshippers of the Hindu
The new society with the new officials, and they also stood
headquarters in Haridwar. After all that the Din Dayalu traveled a lot
establishing new Dharma Sabhas and Sanskrit Schools etc. and also
visited to Calcutta. In April 1887 the next was to built an another
organization of Hindu orthodox leader. And the new committee was formed
in 1887 under the chairman ship of Din Dayalu by the name of Bharat
Dharma Mahamandala. The very first accumulation of the Mahamandala was
called on the sacred day of Hindus Ganga Dashmi.
Din Dayalu practiced hard to get together the divided Hindus. The next
meeting of the Mahamandala held in 1889, at Govida Deva Shrine in
Brindaban. This time the annunciation written in Hindi as a decision was
taken in the first meeting accordingly. They noticed that at the time of
first meeting there were only 100 Hindu organizations in India. But in
the last 2 years it increased to 200 organizations. Thus the Mahanadalas
kept the motivation on of Hitaishini Ganga Dharma Sabha alive for years.
